Ocean Springs is known for its more than 300 years of history, live oaks, art, award winning festivals and national community awards such as “One of the 50 Best Small Towns” and “Bringing Back the Beauty Award.” The city of Ocean Springs is a certified Cultural Corners Programs and has been designated a “Preserve America” community, “Tree City USA” and “Travel Treasure.” This little town has been quoted as a destination to check out by numerous publications, including the Washington Post, Southern Living and Preservation in Print. Ocean Spring has been a Mississippi Main Street community since 1990 and is under the direction of Margaret Miller, who is the longtime director of the Chamber-Main Street-Tourism Bureau of Ocean Springs.
