The purpose of the Mississippi Main Street Association is to encourage and assist in the appropriate development and enhancement of downtowns in cities and towns across Mississippi. 

Through its network, seminars and educational programs, MMSA provides a forum for its members to share knowledge, common experiences and the resources needed for successful downtown revitalization.

MMSA focuses attention on the importance of downtown, and encourages effective legal and financing techniques favorable to downtown development.

MMSA is recognized as a tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service.  Our full time staff carries out the MMSA program objectives, and is governed by a Board of Directors which meets regularly to conduct the business of the Association.
